Introducing Test Servlets© for Web-based Testing for K-12 Education

Test Servlets©. Test Servlets
are servlets for browser-based testing and assessment for K-12 Education and Occupational Training.
The servlets present fill-In, true/false, and multiple-choice questions while tracking students as they take tests (session tracking). The servlets then measures and display results. Results can be saved, printed, or emailed for further review--a benefit to distance learners, teachers, testing and training organizations.
The Test Servlets are useful to people who need to do browser-based training and testing on the desktop, network or web.
Test Servlets© run on Java Web Servers supporting the Java(TM) Servlet API 2.2. Servlets, unlike CGI which must process each HTTP request, deliver webpages without repeatedly burdening the server processor. This servlet strategy provides numerous benefits that include security and scaleability.
Science Academy Software's servlet strategy complements existing and newer web-based instruction, overcomes most common technical barriers to platform independence (PC or Mac), and benefits from the growing customer support of ISPs offering Java web services.
Test Servlets are based on Learning Components, the company's Java(TM) based paradigm for learning on the Web and the desktop for K-12.
