FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WebTest Unvailed for Learning Components©
BRONX, NY - April 5, 2001 Science Academy Software
®, a developer of educational software, announced today the introduction of WebTest, an authoring tool for Learning Components© (LC22) the company's applet/javascript-based paradigm for testing, tutoring, and assessment for K-12 Education.

Webtest allows users to author text based questions and create webpages that set Learning Component applet parameters. Parameters control timing, navigation and functionality.

With WebTest and Learning Components users can create their own interactive tests, tutorials, or presentations simply by changing parameters to the applets HTML code, then add content (text, images, sound, etc.). The presentation is handled by the applet at the client via the browser. This is particularly useful to people and organizations who need to do browser-based training on the desktop, network or web. Users get functionality, an aesthetically pleasing design, ease of use, security, and low cost.

You will need Windows and a java capable browser. Please note that because of latency issues (connection type and network traffic), the program's performance may vary.

Educators can now experience their performance in their particular environment by downloading the free demo of Learning Components at:

Science Academy Software's Learning Components suite of applets with WebTest sell for $490 per site/server/cpu license. The product includes the applets, authoring tools, documentation, product support and first year upgrades.
